Pueblo City Park - Mountain Park Environmental Center

Our dear friend Milli lost her Vietnam Medic Veteran husband this year. He so loved Colorado, so loved kids and so loved Kuvasz that as a tribute, Milli has set up a Scholarship Fund to help kids learn about nature, and enjoy summer camping camp.

Pueblo is a community blessed with cultural diversity - the only place I've lived that truly embodies the American claim to being "the melting pot". So many cultures here, and not a one is treated as a "lesser minority". That said, Pueblo is also a place with relatively low cost of living, and likewise low income. Mountain Park Environmental Center is an amazing place. It is a City Park about an hour outside of the city of Pueblo. A fabulous old lodge has recently been rehab'd and renovated, and they offer all manner of conservation, nature hikes, educational opportunities and more to all.
